Keeping the gauges slim is meant to give a brighter, more responsive sound and better intonation across the fretboard.

Each string uses a different percentage of metal powder, so the shade of red varies slightly from string to string. Aquila notes this is intended, not a defect.

Before You String

Stretch the strings gently with your fingers. Aquila says they settle in tune in 2 to 3 days.

Available Sets

Soprano: High G (GCEA) or Low G (GCEA, red wound 4th string)

Concert: High G (GCEA)

Tenor: Low G (GCEA, red wound 4th string)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0802/9077/5348/files/aquila-red-series-ukulele-string-set-1.jpg?v=1790800391
