Built in the GEWA workshop, the Academie is finished with an attractive, hand-applied, shaded golden-red varnish. This instrument ships un-setup; plan for a luthier visit on arrival to fit the bridge, prepare the strings, and refine the setup before playing.

Warchal Karneol Strings

The included Warchal Karneol string set produces well-balanced tones and velvet shadings that can be sculpted effectively. These strings demonstrate a certain ‘willingness to co-operate’ with the player. Note: The ball on the E string is removable.
