Super Nylgut® is Aquila's newer version of its Nylgut® ukulele strings, with a pearl colour and a smooth surface that Aquila says feels like natural wax under the fingers.
Feel and Tuning
- Aquila describes the strings as rather soft, but they stretch less than Nylgut, so they are easier and faster to tune and more stable from the start.
- According to Aquila, Super Nylgut is stronger, so it is less sensitive to sharp edges at the nut and bridge and less likely to dent against the frets or under fingernails.
Available Sets
- Soprano: High G (GCEA)
- Concert: High G (GCEA)
- Tenor: Low G (GCEA, one wound string)
- Baritone: Low D (DGBE, wound D and G strings)
