The Bam Hightech Oblong is BAM's new oblong case for a 4/4 violin: the instrument rides in full suspension inside BAM's triple-ply Hightech shell, with room for four bows and a music pocket built into the back cushion.

Features and Use

  • Made for a 4/4 violin, suspended on premium fabric-covered injected foam cushions, with a Velcro neck strap.
  • Holds four full-size bows, a removable accessory zipper pouch, and a Velcro strap for a shoulder rest.
  • Integrated back cushion with a music pocket, for comfortable carrying and storage.
  • Male/female airtight "H" seal and two BAM 3-digit combination latches.
  • Premium ergonomic side handle, built-in subway handle, and two neoprene anti-slip backpack straps with covered security screw carabiner hooks.

Construction and Materials

  • Bam Hightech shell: a triple-ply coated and insulated ABS structure, for outstanding protection at an ultralight weight.
  • Anti-slip, anti-wear rubber patches to protect the case and prevent sliding.
  • Weight: 2.6 kg (5 lb 11 oz).
  • Exterior: 80 x 25 x 17 cm.
  • Interior: total length 61 cm; body length 37 cm; upper bout 17 cm; lower bout 21 cm.

Warranty

  • BAM covers defects in materials and workmanship for two years from purchase, and beyond that offers repairs at a nominal cost for the life of the case.
  • Accidental damage, mishandling and normal wear on parts such as hooks and fasteners are not covered.
