Each wipe is saturated with 99% isopropyl alcohol, the highest purity available. Common isopropyl wipes are 70% to 80% and can contain water or perfumes that damage strings; at 99%, no residue is left on the string once the alcohol evaporates.

How to Use

Lay a cloth under the fingerboard to protect the varnish from the liquid
Slightly loosen the strings so they can be lifted off the bridge, without removing them from the instrument
Use the wipe as soon as the sachet is opened; the liquid evaporates very quickly
Wipe the full length of each string until dirt and oil build-up shows on the wipe
Let the string dry, retune, and discard the wipe after a single use
1 wipe cleans four strings on violin or viola; use 2 wipes for cello and double bass

Not recommended for unwound or open gut strings.
