Authentic strings for baroque instruments producing a brilliant and soft sound with enormous possibilities.
String Construction & Materials
- A and D Strings: Plain sheep gut end without knot.
- G and C Strings: Wound with silver-plated copper wire; unpolished end with knot.
- Authenticity: Produces the typical sound for baroque instruments.
Performance & Tuning
- Feel: Very low string tension with a comfortable left hand feeling.
- Standard Tuning: Designed for 440 Hz tuning.
- Alternative Tuning: For 415 Hz tuning, use strong gauge strings.
- Tension Adjustment: Altering the PM gauge by 1/2 PM changes the tension by 4%.
