Valves for self installation suited for all models from the Blues-series.
Kit Contents
- Includes 30 pieces total
- Contains 3 valves for each length
- Original valves used for optional half-valved instruments
- Set is suited for one full-valved instrument (+ set of spare valves) or three half-valved instruments
Performance & Valving Options
- Valves minimize air loss when playing blow or draw notes
- Half-Valving: Valve closes only the lower tuned reed of the pair. Bending notes remains possible. Provides full chromatic scale with bending instead of using overblows.
- Full-Valving: Both reeds of a corresponding reed pair are equipped. Air-loss is minimized, but bendability is restricted very much.
- Overbendings cannot be played with valves attached
Installation Guidelines
- Placement (Half-Valved Richter): Attach to draw plate of 1-6 (valve situated on inside of hole) and blow plate of 7-10 (valve situated on outside of upper plate)
- Adhesive: Use very little amounts of glue, e.g. the original SEYDEL valve glue
- Safety Note: If using superglue, use gel (not fluids) and let it dry out 100% as solvents are harmful to human health
